About the Role: Senior Business Analyst
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Business Analyst to join a leading retail organization based in Manchester. As a pivotal member of the team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to drive the successful delivery of transformative projects, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and deliver tangible value.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
– Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document detailed business requirements for new initiatives and projects.
– Lead workshops and stakeholder meetings to understand business challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, supply chain, and operations, to deliver end-to-end project solutions.
– Conduct gap analysis and create detailed process maps to streamline business operations and enhance efficiency.
– Support the prioritization of requirements and develop clear business cases to justify investments.
– Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
– Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
– Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership through data-driven analysis and reporting.
– Monitor project progress, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
Skills & Experience
Essential
– Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5+ years in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
– Strong understanding of retail processes such as merchandising, e-commerce, supply chain, or customer experience.
– Expertise in business analysis tools and techniques, including process mapping, gap analysis, and requirement elicitation.
– Demonstrable experience in leading workshops and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.
– Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
– Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail.
– Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
Desirable:
– Familiarity with retail technology systems, such as ERP, POS, or CRM platforms.
– Experience with data analysis tools like SQL or Power BI.
– Professional certifications such as IIBA, BCS, or Prince2.
